Jack Blanchard, pictured front, left-center, has
been employed at Bayou State Homes for more than thirty years.
Blanchard has been so pleased at Bayou State, he recommended the
place to his children as a spot to seek employment. As a result, he
now has working with him his five sons, two sons-in-law and three
grandsons. "It's a family affair," explains Newton Thibodeaux, "and
they are all excellent carpenters." |

In 1981, Newton's son N.J. "Chip" Thibodeaux joined
the company with a bachelor's degree in Architecture from LSU
and three years experience in the field of Architecture gained
from working in Lafayette and New Iberia. This contributed
to the company's ability to custom design floor plans for its
customers, and continued the process of company improvement
along with higher-end homes and on-site construction. |
